After a trip to the zoo I was charmed by the wonderful penguins and as soon as I got back the paint brushes were out. I’d taken a few photos but this particular penguin caught my attention and I caught his (or her’s). He was very inquisitive and stood proud, keeping watch, and watching the onlookers. All the other penguins went about swimming and waddling on the rocks. A couple of penguins were having a squabble before diving into the water. All in all a great little community.

I am not sure if I will paint a background to this or leave it as a penguin standing proud. Proud penguin will hopefully be finished next week or the week after, as I have a commission to complete first.
