I’ve always loved painting animals and birds in an unusual swirly contemporary way. I sometimes wonder if having Irlen Syndrome is anything to do with my use of colours. I wear blue tinted glasses to aid my Irlen syndrome which prevents the glare of white paper making my eyes feel like they are being stuck with needles. This owl looks far more colourful when I lift up blue specks and view it without the glasses on. By Sophie Huddlestone.
