Making the most of the summer months in England, this painting of fields soon dried with the breeze. Some folks use a slow drying medium (a liquid chemical) to the water while painting in a dry atmosphere because the pigments in watercolour paints have a longer chance to react and mix with each other by drying slowly. I prefer the challenge of painting faster on sunny days, the unpredictability is what keeps me interested in watercolours. by Artist Sophie Huddlestone.
