I have completed a few smaller paintings this week. Cats, dragonfly’s, butterflies and even wellie boots. On these insect paintings I added lots of details but kept the colours to a minimum so that each painting remains uncluttered. The light shadows add a bit of depth and when framed these blue and purple butterflies will appear as they are about to fly out of the glass. The paints were applied very loosely yet the detail swirls and wing patterns were more carefully thought about. Because of the smaller size (approx A5) they will be more affordable, so check out my shop soon!
